BPCL is now looking for young, energetic, ambitious Graduate Engineers in the field of “Mechanical Engineering” & “Chemical Engineering” for the post of “Management Trainee”.
Mechanical & Chemical Engineers desirous of pursuing a career with BPCL are required to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2014).
educational qualifications :
Full time, B.E./B.Tech/B.S c (Engg) through AICTE/UGC approved Indian Universities
with minimum 60% marks in qualifying degree examination. The applicable minimum percentage of marks for Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) /Persons With Disability (PWD) candidates is 50%.
Candidates should have passed the degree in first attempt.
Integrated Courses or courses with 5 year or more course duration would not be eligible for the position.
Candidates in the final year of their engineering studies may also apply. However, they must fulfill the eligibility criteria in all respects w.r.t. educational qualification, percentage of marks, age, etc. and if such candidates are short listed for interview,

Appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering – 2014 (GATE-2014)
GATE 2014 Paper code for Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Chemical Engineering (CH)
GATE 2014 online examination is scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays between 1st February 2014 and 2nd March 2014 for Mechanical & Chemical Engineering disciplines
General Candidates : Maximum 25 years
OBC (Non Creamy layer) : Maximum 28 years
SC/ST : Maximum 30 years
PWDs with degree of disability 40% or above : Age relaxation of 10 years
Selection Process :
GATE 2014 scores : shortlisting based on Merit in Mechanical, Chemical Disciplines

Final Selection : Based on Medical Fitness in Pre Employment Medical Examination
Emoluments : The total emoluments at entry level for Management Trainees are presently 10.5 Lakhs per annum (approx. cost to company).

Apply at www.bpclcareers.com for Openings at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited On downloading the GATE-2014 admit card and receipt of GATE registration number.The relevant link would be made available from 20th December 2013 on BPCL’s career website i.e www.bpclcareers.in.
Candidates will require their GATE-2014 Registration Number for applying to BPCL.
The registration number will appear on the GATE-2014 admit card which can only be downloaded from the zonal GATE websites of IISc and 7 IITs.
Upon completion, the candidate should submit the online application by clicking the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
If the same is accepted, the system will generate a unique application ID along with the completed application form.
Candidate should take a print out of completed application, affix his/her recent passport size photograph, sign at the space provided.
If the candidate is called for further selection process, his/ her identity would be verified with GATE-2014 admit card and GATE-2014 official score card.
