GAIL will  be utilizing Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering – 2014 scores (GATE-2014 – Scores) for recruitment of Executive Trainees in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Chemical during  the  year 2014.

Eligible candidates who wish to apply for the position of Executive Trainee in GAIL will be required to first apply for appearing in GATE-2014 and thereafter, appear in GATE-2014 as per instructions and timelines notified by GATE-2014 Organizing Institutes.
On the Basis of GATE-2014 score and requirement, candidates will be short- listed for Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview.
Please note that only GATE-2014 score is valid for this recruitment exercise. 
GATE score of 2013 or prior to that is not valid.
The candidates will receive their GATE-2014 Registration number printed on the admit card. 
On receipt /downloading of GATE- 2014 Admit card  with registration number, candidates will have to separately apply online in GAIL indicating their GATE-2014 Registration Number on the career section of GAIL website www.gailonline.com.

After successful submission of online application by the candidate, a unique registration number shall be generated by the system and a message shall be displayed in the system that the online application has been submitted successfully and an auto generated email mentioning the unique registration number shall reach to the candidate informing that  his/her application has been submitted successfully.

After applying online, candidate is required to take a printout of the Application Form generated by the system with unique registration number, space for affixing photograph and signature and other details.

Final year students may also apply however they should have obtained the Engineering Degree with the prescribed percentage of marks indicated above.  In case of selection, they will have to submit their final mark sheet / provisional certificate by 31st August 2014.

METHOD OF SELECTION :

1. Management Trainee (Engineering) : 

Educational Qualifications : Full time Engineering Degree course -B.E. / B.Tech./ B.Sc (Engg) in minimum qualifying period.

2. Management Trainee (HR) :     8 posts
Educational Qualifications : Full time MBA/MSW/Equivalent PG course in minimum qualifying period.
SELECTION PROCESS :  Written Test and Interview. 
Written Test : two sections
Technical section :  100 questions related to qualifying degree
General Aptitude   :  50 questions covering Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Reasoning and English Language.
The duration of test will be two hours. Each question shall carry 1 mark and 1/4th  mark will be deducted  for every wrong answer. The test will be in English language.
written test  is tentatively scheduled to be conducted  in 1st  week of October, 2013.
Exact schedule of written  test  will be displayed on EIL  website (‘Careers’ page) in due course.
HOW TO APPLY:
Rs. 330/-  in the  form of Bank Challan (Pay-in-slip) for OBC and others.

Experience : 3 years experience in any organized Medical Institution, preferably in a labour Organization.
Experience as House Surgeon/ Resident  Doctor while pursuing MD Course would reckon as experience provided it is acquired after completing Internship.
SELECTION PROCESS:  Written Test (WT) and Interview (I).
