Indian Oil Offers Unique Opportunity to 250 Graduate Engineers to Join As Assistant Officers/ Assistant Engineers on the basis of GATE-2013 score

IOCL looking for energetic and dedicated Graduate Engineers (Indian nationals only) from the following engineering disciplines for recruitment as Assistant Officers/ Assistant Engineers:
1. Civil  Engineering (excluding Construction/ Environmental/ Transportation Engineering)
2. Chemical Engineering (including Petrochemicals/ Polymer Engineering but excluding Oil/ Paint Technology/ Surfactant Technology/ Ceramics Engineering)
3. Electrical Engineering (including Electrical & Electronics engineering but excluding Electrical & Communication/ Telecommunication engineering)
4. Instrumentation  Engineering (Including  Electronics & Instrumentation engineering  but  excluding  Electronics & Communication engineering/ Telecommunication engineering)
5. Mechanical Engineering (excluding Automation/ Automobile/ Production/ Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering)
6. Metallurgical Engineering                                                                                           

Educational qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology (BE/B.Tech or equivalent) in  the above mentioned disciplines (full time regular courses only) from recognized Indian Universities / Institutes.
General and OBC (non- creamy layer) categories, should have secured minimum 65% marks in qualifying degree examinations. It is relaxed to ‘pass’ for Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) /People With Disability (PWD) candidates.
Candidates pursuing/ completed M.Tech in any disciplines, other than mentioned above, for being eligible, must have completed (or are completing) BE/ B.Tech in one of the above mentioned disciplines and already taken GATE-2013 examination in the discipline of their B.Tech are eligible to apply.
Age Limit :
Maximum 26 years (relaxation applicable)
Selection Process : 
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineers GATE-2013 score of the candidates in the advertise core disciplines.
Group Discussion / Group Task
Personal Interview for assessment of different facets of knowledge, skill, attitude and aptitude.

1. Assistant Chemist-VI : 03 Posts (UR-02, ST-01)
Discipline : Quality Control
Qualification : B.Sc with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory  subjects  OR  B.Sc  (H)  in  Chemistry  with Physics & Mathematics  as  compulsory  subjects  from  a
Govt. recognized institute/University as a regular student 
Experience : One year post-qualification experience in a reputed chemical industry preferably in petrochemical / refinery sector. Should have hands on experience on UV visible spectro photometer, AAS, GC, HPLC etc.
PAY SCALE : Rs. 13,800 - 38,500
2. Jr. Engg. Asstt - IV (F&S) : 1 post (OBC)
Discipline : Fire & Safety
Qualification : Matric with Sub-Officer’s course from  NFSC, Nagpur & Heavy Vehicle   Driving License OR Matric with Fireman's course from Govt. recognised institute & Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
Experience  : One  year  post-qualification  experience in Fire Service in Petroleum / Petrochemical / Fertilizer or other large scale Industries.
PAY SCALE : Rs.11,900 - 32,000
3. Jr. Engg. Asstt - IV (Production) : 20 posts (UR-10, SC-07, ST-02, OBC-01)
Discipline : Chemical
Qualification : B.Sc (MPC) or 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engineering from a Govt recognized institute as a regular student.
Experience : One year post-qualification experience in the operation of continuous Process plants in Fertilizer/Hydrocarbon sector.
PAY SCALE : Rs.11,900-32,000
4. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (P&U) : 4 posts (UR-02, ST-01, OBC-01)
Discipline : Electrical /Mechanical
Qualification : Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with not less than 1 year Apprenticeship in Boiler Operations in an industrial house under the Apprentices Act,1961 OR Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 2 years work experience in P&U operations, OR B.Sc with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as main subjects having completed  Apprenticeship in Boiler Operations in an industrial house under the Apprentices Act,1961 OR B.Sc with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics  as main subject  & 3 years work experience in P&U operations.
Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering : Not less than 1 year Apprenticeship in Boiler Operations in an industrial house under the Apprentices Act,1961 OR 2 years post-qualification experience in Electrical operation of Power Plant / Gas Turbines and Electrical distribution system in Chemical Process Plants / Fertilizers / Hydrocarbon Industries
B.Sc with PCM: Completed Apprenticeship in Boiler Operations in an industrial house under the Apprentices Act,1961 OR 3 years  post-qualification experience in Electrical operation of Power Plant / Gas Turbines and Electrical distribution system in Chemical Process Plants / Fertilizers / Hydrocarbon Industries.
PAY SCALE : Rs.11,900-32,000

1. Junior Materials Assistant : 03 posts

Qualification : Essential      :3 years Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

 Desirable  :Diploma in Materials Management in addition to the      above qualification

Area of Experience (Including Apprenticeship & training period):  

Desirable   : Two  Years   working experience  in  operation and Maintenance of an industry or of handling various types of materials used in an industry of repute.

2. Industrial Hygienist-IV :        1 post

Qualification : Graduate in Environment  Science OR Post Graduate in Organic Chemistry

Experience : Minimum one year experience as industrial Hygienist in a reputed Hospital/Industry. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in                     Occupational  Health Centre

Area of Experience: For Diploma holder, minimum two years experience  in maintenance of rotary equipment like Compressors, Gas/  Steam  turbines,  Pumps  etc. and    Stationary   equipment   like Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Vessels, Piping etc. in any industry.

 For ITI, minimum three years’ experience in maintenance of rotary equipment like compressors, Gas/ Steam turbines, Pumps etc. and Stationary equipment like Boilers, Heat  Exchangers,  Columns, Vessels, Piping etc. in any industry.

Note: Candidates having experience in Petroleum / Petrochemical Industry shall be preferred.
